What a great looking family, right? This group was so easy to photograph - it was all smiles when Tim and I stopped by their house in Normal for a really fun photo session.
Long time, no blog! It has been awhile and I have many exciting things to catch up on... a trip to Costa Rica and photo shoots for weddings, families, and happy couples to name a few ;-) But for now, I have some photos of Nick and Laura who got married the last day of April - a blustery day with a threat of showers, but the rain held off. It always feels like a personal triumph when this happens although I have no control over it. I love the way the wind is blowing the trees and Laura's veil.
Although we're still waiting for some great spring weather, it does allow for some intimate family sessions indoors. Nick and Emily have two beautiful girls... and also a little boy on the way!
Tim and I had the wonderful opportunity to photograph a family in Washington, Illinois a couple weeks ago. Emmalyn is really lovely and Jacob is perhaps the busiest little boy I've ever had the pleasure of meeting ;-) It was tremendous to see how sweet they all are with one another!
To celebrate Spring, I've got a boatload of photo sessions to share! Here's a great little guy with some of the best hair ever. I know I'm a softie, but he's adorable... and while he's my nephew, I don't think I'm biased. This session was to celebrate his 2nd birthday - I love how it looks like he's going to eat the camera. He's a very serious little fellow who happens to be achingly cute.
We had a lovely, restful trip to Kentucky for Thanksgiving and got to enjoy the company of some folks we only see once or twice a year now. It had been well over two years since the last family portrait! We have also had one new addition to the family since then, so some family photos were well overdue:
Recently, a group of siblings wanted a shoot to have photos to give to their mom as a Christmas gift. Good kids, in my opinion. They were great subjects since they laughed the whole time, except when I asked them to hug and the brother said, "we're not that kind of family." Each shoot has its own challenge I guess ;-)
